Couples Therapy

How many times have you said to your partner “that’s not what I said!” or “that’s not what I meant!”?

Probably hundreds. Thousands if you’ve been together long enough.

All too often, our partner hears something other than what we’re saying or mean to say. This can lead to frustration, disagreements, hostility, a feeling of alienation.  All are thoroughly avoidable. Let me show you how.

I use various kinds of interventions that help you communicate more openly, clearly, honestly, and easily. That teach you how to ask for – and get – what you need from your partner so resentment doesn’t build.

I explore communication and attachment styles as well as your upbringing and family backgrounds as a means of understanding how, what, and where you learned about romantic relationships, and how your pasts might be affecting your present relationship.

Come to couples therapy to fall in love with your partner all over again.

Or at least stop silently fuming at them.
